Haywood Community College is comprised of 100 cares that is a designated arboretum. HCC also serves as forest stewards of the 320-acre Raymond J. Fowler Conservancy and Teaching Forest and the 54-acre John T. and Catherine R. Beaty Natural Resources Classroom.

Hcc also utlizes The Joseph H. Nanney Regional High Technology Center which is the home of the Advanced Machining Center, a state-of-the-art education center for advanced metal forming, machining up to and including 5-axis contours, and computer aided design (CAD), manufacturing (CAM) and engineering (CAE). The center also serves as the home of the college's machining, electronics engineering technology, mechatronics engineering technology, industrial systems technology, and computer information systems programs as well as providing meeting space for some continuing education programming and community events.

Also, our West Waynesville facility--the renovated union hall for the former Dayco plant here in Haywood County--is used for Adult High School and GED and other courses.
