AASHE officially released the second major revision of STARS, version 3.0, on July 18, 2024. The vision for STARS 3.0 was established by the STARS Steering Committee (SC) in 2019. In accordance with the STARS Technical Development Policy, provisional drafts of the new version were published for public comment on a rolling basis beginning in September 2021.
