A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):

The Center for Sustainability is committed a one-on-one information session during the new students' first day on campus. During first-year student move-in, the Environmental Residents go door to door as first-years move in to initially talk to the incoming students about waste diversion. There are two to three ERs per residence hall, which ensures they are able to talk to each new residential student. The primary goal is to introduce the new students to the college’s waste diversion program, but it also ensures each student hears directly from a peer on the importance of sustainability on campus. Students and families then have the opportunities to have their individual questions answered.
