The purpose of Agnes Scott's Green Cleaning Policy and Program is to promote the best practices for cleaning and maintenance of the indoor environment for the residents of all buildings on campus. It is meant to reduce the potentially hazardous exposure of chemical, biological, and particle contaminants that adversely impact air quality, health, building finishes, building systems, as well as the surrounding environment. Agnes Scott began implementation of the policy campus-wide immediately after the latest revision and will evaluate performance on a yearly basis through reporting and surveying of the buildings’ inhabitants. Long term, the college will strive for a target of 75% compliance.

All energy data is inputted in Energy Star Portfolio Manager for all campus properties. This is done in compliance with the college's commitment to the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge. We also have a third party entering this data and providing monthly reports to both Facilities and Sustainability staff. We brief the VP for Business and Finance on a quarterly basis.

All water data is inputted in Energy Star Portfolio Manager for all campus properties. This is done in compliance with the college's commitment to the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge. We also review water data on a monthly basis with the college's tracking consultant.
