These figures were calculated using the CACP Campus Carbon Calculator. Only emissions from electricity, natural gas, gasoline, and diesel are included. Refrigerant leakage and animal emissions are not included because of insufficient data. These emissions are assumed to be relatively small. US averages for electricity emissions factors were used because the upstate New York factors suggested by E-Grid show a big drop in the emissions factor between 2005 and 2011 that we felt was suspicious. To be conservative, we used national averages but we are planning to work with our electric provider to get better data.
