Has the institution identified its sustainability research activities and initiatives?:
Yes

A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:

In 2011 research on sustainability on campus has increased. Some faculty are investing more of their time in scholarly activities and classroom material.

In general, sustainability research on campus can be categorized as "focused on" and "related to" sustainability groups. The focused research group is developing research and scholarly activities as a major part of their research portfolio, whereas the "related" group may invest some part of their time to research and scholarly activity on sustainability.

Babson compiled a list of published and forthcoming research by faculty for the period January 2009-May 2010 for submission to Principle for Responsible Management Initiative. This was compiled by faculty members and the Provost's office.

In late 2010, a team of staff and students from the Lewis Institute and the Sustainability Office compiled a list of research done from January 2009 onwards from Division Chairs and the Provost's Office specifically for the Beyond Grey Pinstripes survey as well as for STARS.

Does the institution make its sustainability research inventory publicly available online?:
No
