For the 2016 and 2017 spring move-outs (during which the college runs "Slash the Trash"), Babson partnered with Grad Bag (http://www.gradbag.org/), which collects items that would otherwise go in the trash, cleans and sorts them, and provides them to first-generation college students. Babson has facilitated collections with other colleges and hosted materials before donation. Babson is planning to partner with Grad Bag for the 2018 spring move-out as well.

Grad Bag relies on a web of donated services (e.g., dry cleaning and commercial laundry for bedding), community volunteers, and is hosted in the Boston area at a Jewish temple.

Grad Bag is part of the Let's Get Ready non-profit, which provides high school students from historically under-served communities and first-generation-to-college students with free SAT preparation, admission counseling and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college.
