Does the institution offer a socially responsible investment option for retirement plans?:
Yes

A brief description of the socially responsible investment option for retirement plans:

Bard College offers numerous responsible investment options for all employees through its retirement plans at TIAA CREF. Recent reorganizing of the plans offered by Bard College has allowed employees to create the best investment options needed to reach their personal retirement goals. In addition, employees are able to meet with TIAA CREF investment experts in one-on-one on site meetings to discuss their investment options for their retirement funds. Some investment category options available are lifecycle funds, mutual funds, equities, real estate, fixed income, guaranteed and multi asset. Several sub-categories of options are available within these main categories.

The Board of Trustees for Bard College has established a sub-committee to monitor the plan, ensuring the college is providing the best opportunities for each employee to have a sound and flexible retirement benefit.

Further information concerning the investment options, and their performance ratings, may be found through www.bard.edu/employment/retirement. This link allows employees to access the TIAA CREF website, specific to Bard College, and the investments offered to the plans. In addition, further affirmation may be made to Pat Walker, Director of Human Resources, and (845) 758-7249 or of the Bard College Employee Handbook located at www.bard.edu/employment.
