Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

This number is an underestimation of students participating in community service on campus. It is comprised of:
-students engaged in credit-earning internships at non-profit organizations, BC units that serve the community, or service-focused government agencies;
-students in community-focused work-study employment; and
-students in the largest service learning-type course on campus, Multicultural Business Consulting, in which students help local business and non-profits.

We currently do not track co-curricular service learning or community service, but a number of our clubs put in a very substantial number of hours. This is especially true for service-oriented clubs like Rotaract, but also for student clubs like the Black Student Union.
