Title or keywords related to the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Bentley Brave

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

The Bentley Brave program was created to provide Bentley community members an opportunity to have difficult conversations about difference. We intend to have conversations about race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, ability, socio-economic status and many other topics.

This program was inspired by Mellody Hobsons' TED talk entited "Color Blind or Color Brave" and the general wish of campus members to have a safe place to discuss these issues.

A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):

A Bentley Brave event is one where people have an opportunity to discuss with each other and personally reflect on their thoughts and feelings related to the topics.

Since Fall 2016 we have held 10 Bentley Brave events.
