4MILE@bryant is a transition program traditionally held the week before fall classes begin for new multicultural and international students who have been admitted to Bryant University.
Students have the opportunity to be paired with an upperclass mentor, get acquainted with their new home, and learn more about academic, personal, social and cultural supports available throughout their four years at Bryant.
The program is designed to provide international and multicultural students with a positive transition into their college career. The week consists of sessions and team building exercises along with an interactive introduction to Bryant University. Incoming students are assigned mentors who will serve as a support to them during their first year.

Safe Zone Training presented by the Bryant University LGBTQ and Allies Faculty and Staff Caucus The training is designed to reduce prejudice and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression at Bryant University and create a safe and affirming campus for all.

Centered on fundamental questions about the role of the individual in an ever-changing world, the interdisciplinary Gateway sets the stage for you to explore the global foundations of character and leadership, and of organizations and business.
Central to the Gateway is a 13-credit core curriculum aimed at improving your writing proficiency, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and ethical reasoning — skills you’ll need for success during your four years at Bryant and beyond. In addition to the Global Foundations of Character and Leadership and Global Foundations of Organizations and Business courses, the interdisciplinary curriculum includes a writing course and The Bryant IDEA (Innovation Design Experience for All), our immersive January program.
Bias Incident Committee
If you have been a victim of a bias incident or hate crime, or have witnessed a situation, please report it to Public Safety immediately. Do not touch any evidence: keep the voice mail message or e-mail message; don't wash away the graffiti; don't clean up the vandalism.
When you report these situations, you can include your name or submit the information anonymously. Please realize that if you choose to remain anonymous, it does make it more difficult to thoroughly investigate the situation.We are sensitive about the need for confidentiality in every situation.
You can report an incident through any of the following channels:
Call the 24-hour Bias Incident Hotline at 232-6920 .
Download and complete the Bias Incident form. Put the completed form in the interoffice mail to Box 67 or attach it to an e-mail addressed to email@example.com .
Pick up a copy of the Bias Incident form at Public Safety, the Intercultural Center, Student Affairs, Residence Life, or Human Resources. Complete it and return it through interoffice mail to Box 67.
To report in person to the Department of Public Safety or the Residence Director on duty call x 6001.
CARE Team Mission:
The CARE (Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation) Team is a team of appointed professionals responsible for identifying, assessing, and responding to concerns and/or disruptive behaviors by students who may threaten the health or safety of themselves or the campus community.
Bryant is currently assessing the number of potential gender neutral bathrooms. A report was generated and forwarded to Senior Leadership. We will work towards establishing and creating an inventory of gender neutral bathrooms for Fall 2016.
