The Regenerative Communities Fellowship Program seeks to address the achievement gap by:
-encouraging pathways to higher education for underrepresented students;
-empowering communities to address environmental challenges; and
-developing a model for university-primary school partnership which can be replicated.
The Lyle Center has forged a unique relationship with with two elementary school communities in Pomona, Westmont Elementary and Kellogg Polytechnic Elementary schools, advancing environmental awareness and supporting inquiry-based learning.

Duties for the School Garden Program include the following:
-Provide day-to-day garden maintenance, including weeding, watering, composting or other activities as appropriate to ensure a healthy, attractive, well-maintained, and resource-conserving garden
-Promote participation in garden to students and families.
-Support garden classroom activities in partnership with teachers/Fellows, by providing curricular guidance, technical assistance, and hands-on assistance with implementing projects.
-Maintain garden tools and develop wish lists of equipment needed.
-Provide mentoring for students related to college and other pathways of opportunity.
