A brief description of the green laboratory program, including the specific initiatives selected above:

The "Shut the Sash" campaign began as a Power Save student program in a partnership between facilities and the Dean of the College of Science. Surveys were taken by the students and a tutorial was put together to train students using the fume hoods. The Environmental Health and Safety Department and College hold training on chemical use and sustainable practice specifically for lab users.
