Percentage of new employees (faculty and staff) that are offered orientation and/or outreach and guidance materials that cover sustainability topics:
33.78

A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):

New staff are provided with a standard orientation during which they are guided through a presentation that includes information about the campus' sustainability programs and ways in which they can take advantage of existing sustainable transportation, waste minimization, and energy and water conservation programs.

Faculty undergo a different onboarding process, which is managed at the department level. At this time, information about sustainability and the university's sustainability programs is not a standard component of new faculty orientation. Therefore, in calculating the percentage reported above, we have assumed that 100% of new staff and 0% of new faculty are offered orientation and/or outreach and guidance materials that cover sustainability.
