Does the institution participate in a car sharing program, such as ZipCar or HourCar?:
No

A brief description of the program:

The University currently does not have a carsharing program, but has researched them extensively and has provided campus-wide information forums about carsharing. The major hindrance is cost, and the lack of funds available to put toward carsharing at this time.

The campus Transportation Planner is currently working with regional partners on a grant application for a regional carsharing program, with vehicles located on the CSUMB campus, which would include electric vehicles. If the funds are awarded, implementation is expected August 2012.
