A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):

Camosun has an Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP) which is a confidential service provided by Shepell-fgi. This program is designed to offer immediate and confidential help for employees and their dependents with any personal problems, large or small, that affect family life, work life or general well-being. It can also give you the information, tools and insights you need to deal with minor issues now so they don't grow into more serious problems in the future. Our EFAP offers Counseling services as well as Core Worklife Solution Services which include Career Counseling, Practical parenting and childcare information and more.

Camosun also has a Wellness Program through Healthy Together which represents Camosun's commitment to employee wellness an a healthy workplace. It is a collaborative partnership of several departments that strive to create a healthy campus community and work environment. Our wellness programs, services and initiatives provide education, tools, opportunities and resources to improve the health and wellbeing of employees and which help to foster a healthy workplace culture. So, whether you want to improve your overall health, keep fit, control your weight, quit smoking or learn how to manage stress, there are resources available.
