Does the institution have an on-site child care facility, partner with a local facility, and/or provide subsidies or financial support to help meet the child care needs of students, faculty, and staff?:
Yes

A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:

There are 2 on-site child care facilities that Carnegie Mellon University provides: the Cyert Center for Early Education and the Children’s School. The university only offers a sliding scale benefit for full-time benefits eligible faculty and staff of CMU if they are offered a space at the Cyert Center. The benefit does not apply to the Children’s School. The sliding scale limits the cost of the Cyert Center to 10% of total family income up to a yearly maximum of $5,000 per family.
