Update 2016 (Molly Blumhoefer) We no longer use Sodexo as our food services provider. I attached the only document that was available and left the percentage at 4% to mimic the last report. We have since become more sustainable with our food selections, but it is almost impossible to quantify (see reasons below), so I did not increase the percentage.

Sodexo used used to provide full service food to main , JMMC and WS campuses . We had to subsidize sodexo from $200000 to $250000 annually . By stopping their contract we reduced our subsidy to $0. Foodservices was being subsidized by auxiliary services.

The $144,954.0 reported below is all operational expenditures on foodstuffs accumulated in 2015-2016 FY. Please see attached below. This includes some lingering Sudexo.

We now depend on Street Food Institute (SFI), a local food truck vendor and Follett, for grab-n-go food at small stores. Follett is also our bookstore provider.

SFI is not on-site contractor, but provides services on an "on need" basis. There is no contractual arrangement other that they have to provide their own insurance and have a current business license . Neither Follett or the foodtrucks are paying anything to be on campus. SFI provides at least 1/2 of the food for students on campus and Follett is dedicated to providing 1/3 "healthy" choices in the grab-n-go shops. The Street Food Institute is dedicated to sustainability.

When possible, Sodexo, the food supplier, purchases from local farms and distributors.

We no longer use Sodexo. The contract was cancelled in Dec 2015.
They used to provide full service food to main , JMMC and WS campuses . We had to subsidize sodexo from $200000 to $250000 annually . By stopping their contract we reduced our subsidy to $0. Foodservices was being subsidized by auxiliary services .

In the report of the detail activity in the Contract Services account (8201), provided by CNM Loretta Montoya, it looks like the total paid to Sodexo was approx. $100K during the fiscal year. The remaining expenses appear to be renovation costs/prep work to get the sites ready for the new model of food services.

We do not pay for anything but the upkeep of the facilities that may host the on-site foodtrucks and grab and go vendors.
