The Newark campus is nestled within a campus community and land usage is at a premium. Not all the land is owned by Ohio State Newark or COTC. While the Grounds Department has commented that they believe a composting site would be beneficial, the land space is currently not available. The refuge that comes from the grounds is allowed to decompose in the woods.
