Chatham University's Master of Sustainability (MSUS) program prepares enterprising students with the tools necessary to be the agents of change that corporations, governments, and other organizations need to lead their sustainability initiatives. Graduates will leave the MSUS program prepared to contribute to social, economic, and environmental wellbeing in any context.

A brief description of the graduate degree program (3rd program):

Chatham University's Falk School of Sustainability Master of Sustainability program, in partnership with Chatham's MBA program, has developed a dual degree program that prepares graduates for sustainability management and leadership positions across all sectors including business, government, and NGOs. The program includes foundational coursework in both business and sustainability and extends the breadth and depth of students' knowledge bases with advanced work in various aspects of sustainability such as water, agriculture, and ecology as well as business.

With this focus, the Sustainability track prepares graduates to understand factors, shape practices, and seize strategic sustainable business opportunities for the organizations they serve.

-Discuss the role risk perception and crisis communication plays in defining environmental problems.
-Evaluate an environmental communications campaign.

Creative Writing (Master of Fine Arts) Concentration in Nature and Environmental Writing

"Rachel Carson is our most distinguished alum, and in her honor we have built a concentration in Nature Writing. Students may choose from a plethora of literature courses focusing on the natural world including Ecofeminism, Wildness and Literature, Nature and Culture, Writing About Food, as well as a Nature Writing course. Students interested in nature projects have the opportunity to work at Chatham's Eden Hall Campus and serve on The Fourth River, our national journal devoted to nature and place-based writing."
