Representatives from the Falk School of Sustainability participate in the monthly Pittsburgh Food Policy Council meetings, which work to advance local sustainable agriculture and food access policies. The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council serves as a collaborative advisory organization, bringing together stakeholders from diverse food-related sectors to examine, develop, and improve the food system of our city and region.

Chatham is home to the Pittsburgh Center for Women and Politics that includes programs like PLEN (Public Leadership Education Network) and Ready to Run, which contribute to social justice by preparing women for leadership positions in government and increase representation of women in public policy decision making.
