A brief description of how multiple stakeholder groups were involved in developing the plan:
CSU's Campus Sustainability Plan was written by our Campus Sustainability Coalition (CSC), which is comprised of administrators, department heads, faculty members, and students. The CSC meets monthly, with several subcommittees meeting regularly inbetween.

Energy, materials and water conservation
•% energy reduction from baseline year
•% CO2 reduction from baseline year
•BTU per sq.ft. reduction from baseline year
•Decrease total solid waste generated
•Increase recycled material generated
•Increase campus diversion rate
•Reduce waste generated per capita
•Reduce hazardous waste generated and disposed

A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:
The Campus Sustainability Coalition meets monthly and Work Teams offer progress reports at each meeting. The energy and water conservation metrics are being tracked and verified as part of a $43M performance contract and are being measured and guaranteed by the contractor who provides the University with regular reports. Additionally, with the recent hiring of a full time Sustainability Coordinator, the Coordinator and CSC will develop additional dashboards and reporting systems moving forward.
