Coastal Carolina University has two LEED accredited professionals on staff to ensure LEED criteria is incorporated in design and construction on all our major projects. Our LEED accredited professionals work with the project design teams to obtain the highest level of LEED certification for all projects.

LEED certification is a policy from the state of South Carolina, in 2007, the South Carolina State Budget and Control Board approved the Energy Efficiency Act adopting LEED criteria for design and construction of all major new construction and renovation projects on all state funded projects.
