Discussed in lecture and part of student's projects. An example of student project is: Climate Change Survey for the Agricultural Campus in Bible Hill, NS. The aim of
this study was to identify problems on the campus related to climate change in order to be able to provide solutions and recommendations.

Examination of sustainability features in buildings on campus using student's projects. Example of such projects include greening Dalhousie’s Built Environment, and researching sustainable sites at Dalhousie to achieve LEED certification for existing buildings: Life Sciences Centre

Campus as a Living Laboratory is a hands-on course offered in the Environmental Science program and cross-listed with the College of Sustainability. This course requires students to carry out various projects using Dalhousie as a template. Some of the results of these projects are used to inform decision making around key areas of campus operations.
