A brief description of the natural wastewater systems used to handle the institution’s wastewater:
Dalhousie halifax campuses are located in an urban context. There would be no space and cost prohibitive to run smaller scale systems at a building level. The current waste water treatment system provided by the city is advanced primary into an ocean body.

We calculated the waste water generated based on losses related to consuming water and evaporation related to kitchen, research and operational processes.
