Dalhousie has a Board of Governor’s Investment committee. ESG principles are incorporated in the University’s investment policies.. Committee members include representatives of the Board and Senate. Terms of reference are posted online. Recently the BOG received a report on the topic of divestment from the Investment Committee. After discussion, the BoG voted to accept the report’s recommendation to reject a proposed divestment policy. In addition, the University will report annually on holdings of publicly traded securities.

The President’s Advisory Council on Sustainability just started a working group on sustainability investments. It includes faculty, staff and students. Terms of Reference will be posted in the new year.
