Does the institution have an ongoing program or programs that offer incentives for faculty in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses?:
Yes

A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years (e.g. descriptions of new courses or course content resulting from the program):

College of Sustainability incentive program: The College of Sustainability has an arrangement where the College recruits faculty members for various faculties across the campus to teach as core course instructors. These faculty members commit one-third of their teaching time to the College of Sustainability for 3 years. These cross-appointed faculty members include sustainability content in their courses. The College also provides a small incentive for guest lectures who require support to have new material developed in order to deliver guest lectures for the College. Sustainability courses such as SUST 1000 were added to the curriculum as a result of this collaboration with other faculty members.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:

The College sends the ‘home’ departments of these cross-appointed faculty members one- third of their salary to cover the part of their position that is committed to the College, for the three year period. Also, money is provided for Research Assistants who support the professors in the development of the new material/course content.
