Yes

A brief description of building signage that highlights green building features :

Building signage is in place at our LEED Gold McGowan South Chemistry & Biological Sciences building which describes all of its green features. We also have placed signage at miscellaneous other locations where we have introduced certain green features or measures, though not as broadly based or in place as our LEED facility. The signs placed within McGowan highlight each element of criteria associated with LEED Gold and run anywhere from describing the dual flush bathroom fixtures and the savings in fresh water consumption to the planted green roof and the positive environmental impact that it provides at several levels.

Does the institution have a guide for commuters about how to use alternative methods of transportation?:
Yes

A brief description of the guide for commuters about how to use alternative methods of transportation:

The central sustainability website provides information on transportation use at DePaul including the U-Pass Program, "I-Go" Sharing partnership, campus bike rack information, etc.

DePaul is a major user of the CTA’s U-Pass program. Each undergraduate student is provided a bus/rail pass as part of their tuition and fee package. This pass allows unlimited use of CTA buses and trains. Over the past several years DePaul students utilized U-Pass for an average of 1.5 million transit rides per academic year – a significant level of use that keeps many cars off the street.

DePaul has partnered with the “I-Go” car sharing program which houses three hybrid vehicles on campus for students and staff to lease for anywhere from an hour to a week. We are currently looking at expanding the I-Go program.

Biking to and around campus has become a more friendly activity with an increase in campus bike parking spaces to just under 1,000. One recent development is the placement of rental bikes at campus recreation for those who do not have a bike on campus.

Public Safety now has several hybrid vehicles as part of its overall fleet.

The Climate Change Guide was a resource for on-campus residents to engage in simple activities that can offset one's carbon footprint.
