A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:

East Tennessee State University has three
campus Child Care programs available to faculty/staff/students:

(1) The Child Study Center: Located less than 1 mile from the main ETSU campus, provides full-day, full-years child care services. Operating hours for the facility are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Child Study Center serves children
ages 3 months through 3 years in the Infant/Toddler Program and children 3 years through 5 years in the Early Learning Program. The Child Study Center follows the ETSU Administrative calendar for providing services. The ETSU Child Study Center is a NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited center and holds a 3-Star rating in the State of Tennessee which is the highest rating possible. (2) Little Buccaneers Student Child Care Center: Student Child Care program that is located on the first and second floors of Warf-Pickel. Little Bucs serves only children of ETSU Student-Parents while they attend classes, fulfill class requirements, study, or work on campus. The program follows the ETSU academic schedule and is closed when classes are not in
session. Care is available on a first-come, first-served basis to all children between the ages of 3 months and 6 years of ETSU students. Fee for service is required, with the cost depending on the number of hours for care
needed and the age of the child. (3) Casual Care at the Center for Physical Activity (CPA): Part-time Child Care facility at the Center for Physical Activity (CPA), which is prepared to supervise and entertain younger members of
a family while the Parent and/or Guardian enjoys activities at the CPA. Casual Care takes children from ages 3 months to 8 years old, requiring the Parent or Guardian to remain in the CPA at all times. Children are able to visit Casual
Care up to 90 minutes per visit, visiting a maximum of 10 hours per week. Casual Care will care for up to 20 children at a time, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Casual Care is not a full-fledged day care, so children must arrive clean and fed. Snacks are permitted, yet not
provided.
