Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-in waste?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

The EMU Recycling crew works move-in weekend. The week before move-in we talk with residence hall directors and staff and put large plastic gaylords for cardboard recycling in residence hall quads. Throughout the weekend, crew members help break down cardboard boxes, empty the gaylords/bins and make sure plastic packaging is removed and recycled when possible. Virtually 100% of cardboard is recycled from the weekend since the recycling crew also runs the trash truck and any cardboard that makes it to the trash is pulled out and recycled.
