A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:

Student Commuter Survey sent out electronically over two weeks in November of 2016 to all students taking classes at the university, graduate and undergraduate. The response rate was 32.2%. Residential students are assumed to walk or bike because the small size of the campus and enforced parking restrictions make on-campus driving a very rare occurrence.
