A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:
The only French business school situated in a national park, the sustainable management of our campus is a challenge and an obligation. This means that we must work on managing our resources and waste, protect our biodiversity and fight against climate change. In 2009 the school signed the Copenhagen Declaration and agreed to lower its greenhouse gas admissions by 40% by the year 2020.
We also follow a “Green Plan” that sets goals and objectives to reduce our carbon footprint.
A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:
Our main carbone emissions come from transportation. This is why we are pushing for sustainable transportation practices. Even though we are working to reduce our environmental impact in every dimension, this year we have focused on transportation.
The sustainable transportation project includes objectives in carpooling, eco-vehicles, compensation for overseas traveln, etc. We seek to reduce by 5% our emissions over the next 5 years - difficult as the school continues to increase in size.
In transportation we seek to have over 20% of the staff and students carpooling. With 50% using public transportation.

On the occasion of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Copenhagen at the beginning of December 2009, we get involved therefore in:
- To assess and publish the carbon impact of our education activities;
- To take ambitious objectives for the reduction of our carbon footprint, by fixing as objective 40% of reduction by 2020, by developing sobriety and energy efficiency, renewable energies, soft mobility - the compensation being only used in last resort, for emissions that will end being impossible to reduce. The objective is to reach the carbon neutrality in 2020;
- To encourage the teachers-researches to work on these themes and to spread knowledge produced to all our publics (students, enterprises, communities…) to stimulate their own commitment;
- To Integrate as from September 2010 climatic stakes from our teaching, at the same time in specific non-optional classes and on a transverse way in all appropriate classes;
- To make count every year on accomplished progress and dilemmas met, and promote these commitments to share them by a croissant number of campus all over the world.
