Sustainability is included as a planning direction in Fanshawe's Physical Campus Plan. It stipulates that the college's new structures should be sustainable (energy efficient or even LEED compliant), be green (such as the preservation of green space on campus) and encourage healthy practices (such as making provisions for bicycle parking).
