A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

Long term strategic energy management activities that the College has planned include: completing a feasibility study for ice storage or other electrical power demand offset initiatives, including co-generation, as well as alternative or renewable energy initiatives such as solar air/ventilation heating, solar hot water, and solar PV installations.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

Potential energy conservation projects planned for 2013 include implementing sleep mode on College administrative staff computers, demand ventilation controls for our onsite commercial and academic kitchens, implementing variable speed drives for the student residence chilled/heating water loops, and retrofit of existing T12 Light Fixtures to high efficiency LED at our Woodstock and Simcoe campuses, as well as chiller optimization and free cooling in our J Building and the Student Centre.
