The information gathered through this survey was intended to inform the leadership at FIU about the faculty’s needs and satisfaction regarding various aspects of their jobs, including salary, mentoring opportunities, departmental dynamics, etc., and to be used to improve the institutional climate for faculty. Future Faculty Climate Surveys are conducted every two years and results are compared against the first study to monitor the effectiveness of new initiatives and approaches to improve faculty life and work at FIU.
