A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :

As a top-tier research university, FSU sets the example for other organizations through its policies and practices, including those associated with the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors.

In addition to the positive health benefits of a Tobacco Free campus for students, faculty, and staff, the program helps ensure clean, safe air on campus and decreases the amount of litter attributed to cigarette butts on the campus grounds.

- Reduced number of students who initiate smoking
- Increased percentage of students, faculty, and staff who quit smoking
