Status Score Responsible Party
Complete 2.00 / 2.00
"---" indicates that no data was submitted for this field

Total percentage of students (graduate and undergraduate) that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary means of transportation:
100

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:

All students are required to live on campus all four years. Our campus, consisting primarily of five buildings, does not have any roads running through it, nor is not big enough that anyone would require a car or any motorized vehicle as a means of primary transport. However, many students do have cars on campus, without that being their primary mode of transport. That percentage is 35%.

The percentage of students that use each of the following modes as their primary means of transportation to get to and from campus::
Percentage (0-100)
Commute with only the driver in the vehicle (excluding motorcycles and scooters) ---
Walk, bicycle, or use other non-motorized means 100
Vanpool or carpool ---
Take a campus shuttle or public transportation ---
Use a motorcycle, scooter or moped ---

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

While all students are required to live on campus, we have conducted a survey of students utilizing transportation to and from Olin over breaks. It also asks students about their car usage and whether or not they have a car on campus. The survey was sent out to all students but about a third of the population responded. The preliminary results are attached. More analysis on Olin's car usage that has not been specified by this question will be conducted.
