A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
Furman puts forth a conscientious effort to include underutilized businesses (including minority and women-owned) in bids. These businesses are evaluated based on the same criteria that other vendors are assessed on. Furman's primary vendors are also encouraged to use minority- and women-owned businesses as their sub-tier vendors.
