George Mason University's (Mason) Environmental, Health, and Safety department manages stationary source permitting, annual emissions reporting, and fuel certification to state and federal regulators in accordance with appropriate emissions limits.

Mason compiles data from the points of generation on the campus by recording runtime and fuel usage on a monthly basis. That information is then used with the established emission factors for each device to calculate the totals.
