Input from students, faculty, researchers, staff, the neighboring communities, the business community, goverment representatives and alumni has been solicited on numerous occasions and continues to be heard.


A brief description of the plan’s measurable goals :

Georgia Tech has committed to reduce the MMBTU's used per square foot, relative to 4Q2007, by 15% by 2020. It has commited to be carbon neutral by 2050 as part of the the ACPUCC. It has also committed to reduce its stormwater runoff by 50% (back to the levels of 1950's).


A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:

Georgia Tech tracks its energy and water usage. We participate in LEED certifications and public sustainability surveys that also track our progress publicly. Internal measurements include typcial operational reporting to monitor our progress and performance on a regular basis.
