Yes

Provide a brief description:

Eco-positive food choices include topics such as nutrition, exercise, biomedicine, green supply chains, transportation and distribution, city planning, and many more. These are all topics included Georgia Tech academic courses.


Are students educated in dining facilities about how to make eco-positive food choices?:
Yes

Provide a brief description:

Trivia competitions, posters, displays, research, mobile devices with smart agents to compare nutrition options are all part of the robust education provided in Georgia Tech's dining facilities. Results of the composting competition between the dining hall staffs are also posted.


Are students educated during orientation about how to make eco-positive food choices?:
Yes

Provide a brief description:

The most obvious education related to eco-positive food choices during orientation include reusable bottles, dinner ware, utensils, high recycled content of napkins, compostable accessories such as stirers and napkins, food composting, and the 41% of our food served in dining halls being local and or organic.

Yes

Student to student education and awareness are part of the student organizations that participate in the "market" of student organization during orientation. Additionally, Recycling, Georgia Tech Outdoors Program, the Campus Recreation Center and many others are part of orientation.

Yes

Students have a sustainable food garden on campus.
