The President's Advisory Commission on Diversity furthers Gettysburg College's mission by helping to create an inclusive community where people of all backgrounds, belief systems, and life experiences learn from one another and become leaders in a diverse and complex world.

* Proposing, implementing, and evaluating new approaches to increase under-represented groups
* Strengthening the sense of community for everyone

A brief description of the diversity office:

The Office of Intercultural Advancement serves multicultural and international students studying at Gettysburg College. The department is dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating cultural pluralism on campus. The professional staff provides academic and personal enrichment services for people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Students can expect to receive personal attention and academic advising that addresses individual needs, interests and questions.
