A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

Two of Sodexo's Better Tomorrow Commitments include supporting local community development, and increasing the purchase of products sourced from fairly traded certified sources. At Gonzaga University, food is purchased locally through Angus Meats, Franz, Pacific Marine Stewardship, Darigold, Charlie's Produce and more. The dining service makes sustainable choices on their own as well as with the guidance and suggestion of the campus Food Systems Working Group. This is a group that comprises of many types of stakeholders including students, farmers, staff, faculty, and community members that help make decisions about food choices on campus.

We supported the development of LINC Foods, a local food cooperative. We purchase local produce from LINC, as well as organic and/or sustainable products from other vendors.
