Has the institution developed a definition of sustainability in the curriculum?:
Yes

A copy of the institution's definition of sustainability in the curriculum?:

Sustainability in the curriculum focuses on content knowledge as well as practical skills related to the sustainability principles of social equity, economic prosperity, and environmental stewardship. A teaching/learning environment (both inside and outside the classroom) provides excellence in education for sustainable development by imbedding theory, systems-oriented thinking, and service learning into our curricular and co-curricular programs. Students will have access to high impact service learning, internships, and co-op experiences in sustainability practice.

Has the institution identified its sustainability-focused and sustainability-related course offerings?:
Yes

A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:

The initial course list was developed by an advisory panel of deans, faculty and other administrators for GVSU’s first Indicator Report. Course descriptions were examined, and any general description that related to aspects of the triple bottom line merited inclusion. The list was updated following an examination of course descriptions to specifically identify whether the course covered Economic prosperity issues, Environmental Stewardship, or Social Justice, and a designator was given to each course.

Does the institution make its sustainability course inventory publicly available online?:
Yes
