A brief description of the socially responsible investment option for retirement plans:
The TIAA-CREF investment fund line-up offers one socially responsible fund for GVSU Retirement Plan participant’s consideration, the CREF Social Choice Fund. This variable annuity account seeks a favorable long-term rate of return that reflects the investment performance of the financial markets while giving special consideration to certain social criteria.
Also the Fidelity Investment fund lineup offers one socially responsible fund for GVSU Retirement Plan participant’s consideration, the NB Socially-Responsible Fund. This Fund seeks long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in securities of companies that meet the fund's financial criteria and social policy.
