A brief description of how the assessment(s) were developed:

The main survey is included as part of a transportation survey (it was done that way for simplicity, to have one survey instead of multiple surveys). Now that sustainability is becoming a larger topic at GVSU, we have begun to pilot a sustainability-specific survey with a follow-up assessment and hope to expand on this in future years.

A brief description of how the assessment(s) were administered:

The main survey was emailed campus-wide. Two introductory level courses were given the option to take the pilot survey.

A brief summary of results from the assessment(s):

Students were most aware of very visible sustainability efforts on campus (ie. green roofs, the bus system). About 45% of students were aware of our office and scored highly in terms of sustainability literacy; however, we recognize that this is a small sample and look forward to expanding this survey in the future.
