Yes

A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

Yes, we have assessed diversity and continue to assess educational equity. Beyond enrollment, we look at retention and graduation rates. We also engage in regular campus climate studies. Our most recent was at the end of 2015 and recommendations from that study are just wrapping up. Impressive is the diverse group of faculty, staff and students who are serving on committees to make meaning of the survey results.

Yes

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

Yes, employee equity is assessed on an ongoing basis. This is a partnership between Human Resources and the Director of Affirmative Action/EOE and Equity Officer.
The climate study also provides valuable insights regarding the experiences of faculty/staff.

Yes

GVSU conducts a yearly Utilization Analysis that tracks the diversity of GVSU's workforce, hires, promotions, and terminations.

A brief description of the governance and public engagement assessment(s):

Our current civic engagement work has an emphasis on assessment and evaluation. We are in the midst of writing a Civic Action Plan for the university and part of the outcomes of this work will be to look at our community engagement. We would like, eventually, to look at our internal practices.
