Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

The performance year for this credit is FY 2017(July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017) except where noted.

Green Mountain College is a small school focused on sustainability education across the liberal arts and pre-professional curriculum.

The College eliminated academic departments in 2008 and increased its emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching. Given how small our academic programs are and the wide ranges of faculty responsibilities across multiple programs, we decided not to operate under the traditional department model. For the sake of this report, departments are identified as programs that offer classes and have a head of the 'program'.

For the purposes of the course inventory, departments were indicated as programs that have a director and had a class offered during the 2015-2016 and/or the 2016-2017 academic year that was specifically coded as being offered by the program or met a core requirement for an associated major, minor, or certificate.

The Environmental Liberal Arts program is indicated in the course inventory as a separate department but in the academic research credit it is not as no faculty exist only in this program, but instead are housed in a separate major or minor offerings.

The enrollment numbers here include students under continuous enrollment.

The full-time equivalent employee numbers include employees working for the two permanent on-site contractors: Chartwells (Dining Services) and C & W(Facilities).
