Based on Hampshire's experience planning, constructing, and commissioning a Living Building, Hampshire's Project and Operations Manager Todd Holland has mentored Georgia Tech on the planning and preparation for their Living Building project, due to launch in September 2018. Hampshire and Georgia Tech co-presented at the AASHE 2017 conference.

Hampshire College initiated and supported a five-college group in the purchase of renewable energy. Colleges included Amherst, Smith, Williams, and Bowdoin. The resulting cooperative purchase is unprecedented in the renewable energy market.
Hampshire College also participated in another cooperative venture to fund local efficiency projects for carbon offsets, by providing energy efficiency incentives to institutional customers in towns with municipal electric utilities. This was with the Center for Eco Technology, with Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Smith, and Williams.

Hampshire College is assisting the Hitchcock Center, an environmental education center open to all members of the community, in achieving Living Building certification. This includes sharing of data, regular cooperation on commissioning and operation of systems, metering, and the operation/testing/regulation of the rainwater catchment systems.
