We have not surveyed students recently. But from parking permit information (2017-2018), we know that 67% of students do not have personal cars on campus and therefore use more sustainable commuting options. Further, less than 7% of students commute to/from Hampshire on a daily basis.
Students without personal cars on campus can use the free regional bus system to get to classes at the nearby colleges and to local cities/towns and recreation destinations. Students also have access to Zipcars on campus, scheduled shuttle buses to local grocery stores, and coordinated van pools for community based activities.
